Chapter: 4561
Olivia opened her eyes and saw Raphael-the last person she wanted to see right then.
There was a time when she had loved him.
But love wasn't like it was in novels and movies. In real life, it was so much more complicated. Their family backgrounds, the way they were raised...
After all these years, she'd moved on, but Raphael hadn't.
That left Olivia feeling a bit trapped. She was married to someone else.
Why couldn't Raphael let it go?
Since it was just them in the elevator, Olivia murmured, “Raphael, go find someone else and settle down! I don't hate you but I don't love you anymore either!"
Raphael just stood there, watching her quietly.
His intense gaze was so deep, it was hard to tell what he was thinking. Right now, Olivia just wanted to go home and rest. She had a lot to do tomorrow.
As the elevator went down, she stumbled to the side.
Raphael tried to steady her but Olivia pulled away. Still, he managed to catch her arm and said urgently, "You're too drunk to go home alone, Olivia! Let me drive you!"
Olivia murmured a reluctant "no."
But Raphael wouldn't let it go. They ended up grappling in the elevator, which to anyone watching, looked like they were getting a bit too close.
Someone was standing in the shadows, watching quietly.
It was Dylan. He was back!
Actually, he'd returned on Christmas Eve, three months ago. He'd planned to reunite with his wife and tell her that he wasn't dead but had suffered a concussion after the accident...
But that night, he'd seen Raphael keeping watch over Olivia in the snow all night long.
At dawn, when the maid came downstairs with the trash, Raphael gave her a small gift bag he'd prepared for Leyla.
The baby...
Oh yeah... Dylan almost forgot that little Leyla was Raphael's own flesh and blood!
After all this time, did Olivia really believe he was dead and was planning to get back with Raphael? Did she think it was better for Leyla to grow up with her biological father?
Suddenly, Dylan felt unsure about everything.
He didn't go home. Instead, he secretly followed Olivia around. He had his reasons to be cautious.
He jumped into the sea just before the helicopter went down.
