The assistant nodded and walked out of the room quietly.

As she closed the door, she encountered Dylan.

Dylan, dressed in a casual suit, leaned against the wall with his hands in his pockets, lost in thought.

Momentarily taken aback, the assistant regained her composure and greeted him, “Mr. Wright, it's good to see you again!"

Dylan, seemingly lost in a daze, lifted his gaze.

Glancing at the office, the assistant hesitated before speaking. “Mr. Foster just sent the divorce decree. Miss Evans mentioned she wanted to be alone for a while. Should I inform her of your presence, Mr. Wright?"

Dylan shook his head slightly.

After a brief moment of contemplation, the assistant retreated in silence.

In the office, Olivia paused her work and approached the desk cautiously. She opened the envelope and withdrew the divorce decree.

After looking at the documents for a prolonged moment, she eventually returned them to the envelope.

At that moment, the door creaked open, and Olivia lifted her gaze to see Dylan enter.

Unlike many divorced couples, Olivia appeared remarkably composed as she remarked, "There you are! I just received the divorce decree from my lawyer."

With that, she extended one of the copies to him.

Taking a cursory glance at the document, Dylan put it away without saying a word.

Olivia picked up the desk phone and dialed the internal line. “Maria, could you come to my office, please?"

Shortly after, the assistant arrived.

In that moment, she couldn't shake the feeling that Olivia was handing her over to Dylan as though she were part of their marital property division. Despite her inclination to stay with Olivia, all she received was a faint smile and a request not to make any hasty decisions.

However, Maria was aware that Olivia was in need of help while she started anew, but Olivia still refused her.

In reality, Olivia simply wanted to cut ties with Dylan.

And that meant she would rid herself of anything and anyone associated with him.

Maria also inquired whether Olivia planned to see Dylan again in the future. After thinking for a moment, Olivia responded, "Let's just go with the flow! We both reside in Duefron, and besides, my sister-in-law and Dylan have been friends for many years. So I can't make things difficult for her, right?"

Upon hearing Olivia's response, Maria couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

At the same time, she harbored a silent hope that Olivia could regain the carefree demeanor she had once possessed.

It seemed that undergoing certain experiences caused a person to mature suddenly.
