Chapter: 4634
She didn't even want to think about it.
In the parking lot, Olivia got into the car, and the driver said, “Miss Evans, there's a gift for you on the back seat. It's from Mr. Jones."
The driver had worked for the Evans family for years, so he knew how to speak carefully and when to keep his mouth shut.
Olivia glanced around and noticed a beautifully wrapped gift box on the back seat.
Judging by its packaging, she could tell it was something valuable.
Olivia picked up the box and asked gently, "Did he say anything else?"
The driver replied, "No, he just gave me the box and left."
He lowered his voice and asked, "Do you think Mr. Jones will send Miss Leyla a gift every year now?"
Olivia didn't respond but offered a faint smile.
She wasn't entirely certain, but she appreciated Raphael's gift for Leyla.
Maybe she'd tell her daughter the truth when she was older.
The driver started the car, and Olivia, sitting in the back, opened the gift box to reveal an emerald bracelet, too big and precious for a preschool girl though. Leyla might be able to wear the bracelet when she's older.
Olivia recalled that the gift Raphael had prepared for Leyla the previous year was a set of pink diamond jewelry.
She gently touched the box at that thought.
She sat quietly in her seat.
Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of her villa. It was around nine in the evening. The nanny was bathing Leyla in the bathtub.
Leyla sat in the tub, playing happily with bubbles.
She looked tiny in the spacious bathtub, though her head seemed large compared to her small frame.
Her curly hair was damp, making her look even more adorable.
Olivia opened the door and walked into the bathroom.
Seeing her, the nanny smiled and said, "Miss Leyla loves her bedtime bath. Look, your mommy's back. Let's get out so you can sleep with her."
Leyla held out her arms, wanting Olivia to pick her up.
The nanny, noticing Olivia's expensive party dress, stopped the little girl gently.
But Olivia didn't mind. She handed the gift box to the nanny and said, "Put this on my bedside table. I'll take care of Leyla."
