Chapter: 4635
With that, the nanny left quietly to let the mother and daughter bond.

As Olivia bathed Leyla, the little girl laughed with joy. She had learned a lot of words now and could even hum some nursery rhymes.

She also loved anything pretty.

After her bath, Leyla smelled sweet.

Olivia dried her with a towel, helped her into her cute pajamas, and then carried her to the master bedroom. Leyla wrapped her chubby arms around her mother's neck, and Olivia couldn't resist bending down to kiss her daughter's cheek.

Leyla would turn two in just a few days.

Olivia's bedroom had a queen-sized bed, and Leyla rolled around on it excitedly before lying on her back, revealing her soft tummy.

She looked just like Olivia had as a child.

Olivia kissed her daughter's belly gently and showed her the bracelet.

Though Leyla didn't grasp its value, she seemed to like it very much.

Clutching the bracelet in her little hands, she examined it with curiosity.

“This is a gift from a nice uncle," Olivia said softly.

Leyla repeated happily, “A gift!"

Olivia found it amusing.

At that moment, Dolly slipped into the room and settled quietly on the floor, fixing her gaze on Olivia.

The dog seemed to have a spirit of her own.

Olivia guessed that Dolly missed Dylan and was hoping for news about him.

But Olivia hadn't heard from Dylan herself.

It had been nearly a week since their last contact, though she'd learned through his assistant that Dylan was with Gina, who'd been diagnosed with breast cancer and had undergone surgery.

Olivia was stunned to hear the news.

How could Dylan stay with Gina in these circumstances? The doctors and nurses probably all thought he was Gina's husband!

But Olivia hadn't called Dylan to ask about it.

She felt she didn't have the right, nor did she think it was worth making a fuss over. If Dylan truly cared about her, he would consider her feelings and keep a respectful distance from other women.

Olivia felt that if Dylan stayed overseas, she would like to keep Dolly with her, especially since Leyla was so fond of the dog.
