Chapter: 4639
Olivia glanced at the house.

Leyla and the dog, Dolly, were at the porch, watching them. Leyla had her head tilted, looking adorable.

For her daughter's sake, Olivia didn't want to start an argument with Dylan.

So she replied, "I'm really tired today. Can we do this another time?"

Dylan put a hand on her shoulder like he was going to hug her, but then he let go at her rejection.

Olivia turned her head away, showing she wasn't interested.

Dylan took the hint, letting his hand fall. He looked at her for a long moment, and then said, “Alright, I'll leave. We'll talk when you're ready."

Olivia said nothing.

It wasn't until Dylan's car disappeared down the road that she felt a pang of sadness and realized her whole body had stiffened.

But she brushed off the feeling quickly; she had a child to care for and couldn't dwell on Dylan or the drama he brought. Life didn't stop for him.

Meanwhile, Dylan waited for a call or a text from Olivia.

But after a week, he still had heard nothing from her. Not a word.

On the weekend, Dylan drove over to Olivia's place, but she and Leyla were nowhere to be seen. The maid told him that Mark and Cecilia had picked up the little girl, and Olivia had gone out for a date.

It didn't take him long to piece it together...

Dylan was caught off guard. He quickly asked Olivia's driver where he dropped her off.

Meanwhile, Olivia was meeting her date.

The man was a very decent gentleman. But Olivia could pick up from his words that he wanted her to give up custody of Leyla to her father and focus on having their own kids someday.

Olivia stirred her coffee and gave him a polite smile.

"Your mom didn't mention that to my mom or me," she said.

"I don't think this is going to work."

She got ready to leave.

But the man really liked her, so he hesitated for a moment.

He reached out to stop her and said, "I guess we could manage two kids... Olivia, I think-"

But he never got to finish, because Dylan showed up out of nowhere.
