Chapter: 4650
Ultimately, he had to send Olivia back.
Refusing Dylan's offer to drive into the villa, Olivia got out of the car at the gate. As Dylan rolled down the window, he whispered, "Take care of yourself. Don't wander."
However, Olivia remained silent and kept walking, her gaze fixed ahead.
As she approached the house, Olivia pondered... They had once been inseparable, but last night's intimacy felt distant, almost as if they were strangers.
How had she and Dylan reached this point?
Following the intense night they shared, Olivia purposefully avoided Dylan.
She ignored his phone calls and skipped social events where she knew he would be.
Failing to enter the villa, Dylan attempted to intercept her at the gate, only to be thwarted. Subsequently, the maid informed him of Olivia's temporary relocation to her brother's place.
Eventually, Dylan resorted to visiting her workplace.
Fortunately, the magazine office remained at its original location.
Looking at the familiar artwork adorning the elevator walls, Dylan reminisced the past... After learning of Olivia's pregnancy, he frequently fetched her from work and treated her to her favorite foods.
After a satisfying meal, Olivia would often become lazy, occasionally jumping on his back as he carried her back.
Those were blissful moments for them.
The receptionist identified him as Olivia's ex-husband, but Dylan's wealth and charm were more noteworthy.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Wright. I regret to inform you that Miss Evans isn't available at the moment. She's actually stepped out for an appointment."
Dylan assumed Olivia was on another blind date. Before he could respond, the receptionist interjected with a smile, “Actually, Miss Evans is enjoying a round of golf with one of our VIP clients."
Upon obtaining the location of the court, Dylan left the office building.
When he arrived at the golf court, Olivia had finished her business and was parting ways with her client.
After changing her clothes, she made her way to the parking lot.
It was then that she spotted Dylan.
Dylan had just pulled the car to a stop.
With the breeze kissing his face, he locked gazes with Olivia.
He held her gaze for a moment before gently urging, "Hop in."
He lingered in silence for a beat, but seeing Olivia's stillness, he stepped out of the vehicle and approached her. With a tender grasp, he relieved her of the sports bag, his eyes probing gently. “Why the evasion, these days?"
