Chapter: 4663
This present, thoughtfully chosen by Dylan, captivated her.

She admired it repeatedly, feeling it was perhaps the most meaningful gift she had ever received.

At the door, Edwin paused, watching her for a moment before teasing, “Well, well, what a silly girl you are!"

Holding the box, Olivia turned towards him with a radiant smile.

Her expression Left Edwin momentarily lost for words. He stepped into the bedroom, gently woke Leyla, and helped her dress. "Let's go shopping, sweetie pie!" he said with a serious tone.

Leyla, still half-asleep, wrapped her arms around Edwin's neck.

She rested her head on his shoulder and fell back to sleep as he dressed her.

Despite this, Edwin carried the sleepy child away. Olivia later learned that Edwin had taken Leyla because she was the only child young enough to keep Scott company with Myrna having grown older.

Poor Leyla!

With her family taking care of Leyla, Olivia finally found some time to venture out and reconnect with friends.

After years abroad, she had nearly lost touch with her acquaintances back home.

Then, she received a call from a college classmate who was attending an alumni reunion party at a hotel and wondered if Olivia might be interested in joining. Previously, Olivia had avoided such gatherings, knowing Raphael might also be there.

Now that he was engaged to someone else, Olivia believed it was best to maintain her distance from Raphael.

Her classmate seemed to anticipate her hesitation and reassured her with a smile, “If you're worried about running into Raphael at the reunion, don't be. I heard he won't be there; he's spending time with his fiancee!"

Faced with such reassurance, Olivia found it difficult to decline the invitation.

At that moment, Cecilia walked in and overheard the conversation. She encouraged Olivia, "You haven't made many new friends since returning from abroad. It would be good for you to get out more and reconnect with your peers."

Cecilia's advice was straightforward and heartfelt.

Encouraging Olivia to socialize more, Cecilia expressed her hopes that Olivia would seize the opportunity to make new friends, or at least connect with the old ones.

After a moment of hesitation, Olivia agreed with a nod.

Cecilia, delighted by her decision, exclaimed, "Well, do remember to put on something nice!"

Olivia glanced at her grey coat. Dressing like a teenager wasn't an option for her, so she opted for a light pink scarf to add a splash of color to her subdued outfit.

Olivia then drove herself to the event.

She arrived in her recently purchased sports car-a fitting choice for her style and age.

Upon her arrival, several people were already gathered.
