Chapter: 4680
When he asked how it tasted, she flashed a small smile. “It's decent!"

Dylan's eyes held depth.

“Decent's just fine!" he said meaningfully.

Mid-chat, his phone buzzed on the table. He glanced at it and silenced the ringer.

Olivia had a vague feeling who the caller was. However, she sipped her wine, saying nothing.

Dylan, fearing her disappointment, murmured, "It's just some insignificant client."

She saw through his lie but kept quiet.

Sometimes, in grown-up relationships, a little naivety went a long way.

If she dwelled on things too much, she'd never last a day with Dylan.

Even after dinner, Leyla snoozed on.

Dylan tackled the cleanup while Olivia stuck by the Leyla's side, admiring her features in the Lamplight.

Voices drifted in from outside the bedroom.

Olivia figured it was Gina on the line, bugging Dylan once more.

Dylan took the call.

Without paying much mind, Olivia stayed by Leyla's side, patiently waiting for her to stir...

Around midnight, Leyla finally stirred. Warming up under the covers, she snuggled closer to Olivia, eager to chat.

Olivia leaned back.

She met Leyla's bright eyes, asking softly, “What's on your mind, sweetie?"

Leyla curled up, inching into her mom's embrace.

With wide eyes, she murmured, "Can I call Uncle Dylan my dad? He feels like my dad."

Olivia gently cupped her daughter's face.

Before she could answer, Dylan entered.

He tidied Leyla's unruly curls and planted a kiss on her cheek.

“From now on, you can call me daddy!"
