Chapter: 4694
How ridiculous it all seemed now.
The image of Olivia sitting alone in the study, her heartbroken expression etched in his mind, filled Dylan with regret. She was the woman he had cherished for so many years, and in one night, he had shattered everything they had built together.
“From now on, I have nothing to do with you," Dylan declared before leaving the room.
Gina's desperate plea pierced the air as she hugged Dylan from behind, crying like a baby. “But I love you, Dylan! I care about you more than she ever could. Why won't you give me a chance? Why do you only care about Olivia? She's given up on you now. She won't ever love you again after how badly you've hurt her. So why not give us a chance?"
Dylan's frustration reached a breaking point at Gina's words. Unable to contain his emotions, he slapped her in the face.
The shock on her face mirrored his own inner turmoil as he pushed her away with disgust before swiftly leaving the room.
He took the earliest flight back. Dylan's heart was heavy with remorse as he couldn't bear to wait any longer to see Olivia. He needed to tell her that he had made a grave mistake and beg for her forgiveness.
After nearly twenty hours of travel, Dylan arrived at Olivia's former villa, only to be met with the news that she no longer lived there.
Determined to find her, he rushed to the Evans family mansion where Edwin and Laura resided.
He arrived at the mansion in the evening, and he could hear the joyful voices of children.
He guessed they should be Myrna and Leyla. He could even hear Scott's low and deep bass.
Dylan parked his car and dialed Laura's number, only to be surprised when Edwin answered.
Through clenched teeth, Edwin greeted him with a sneer. “Finally back, Mr. Wright. Are you here to settle Olivia and Leyla's expenses while with you? Why concern yourself with such trivial matters? Just ask your assistant to send me the bill, and I'll transfer the money to your account right away."
"I need to speak with Olivia," Dylan replied hoarsely, his voice trembling with urgency.
Edwin paused and said, “Wait there!"
Then he hung up the phone.
About five minutes later, he emerged from the villa clad in black pants and a turtleneck sweater, a lit cigarette dangling from his hand.
The night wind tousled his neatly trimmed hair, and he exuded a vigorous aura.
Dylan stepped forward, and the two handsome men faced off. “I want to see Olivia," Dylan stated.
Edwin extinguished the cigarette.
He stared at Dylan, his voice tinged with disappointment. "You want to see her? Have you even asked if she wants to see you? Dylan, you really disappoint me. Sure, she and Raphael have a daughter together before, so you just assumed the child was Raphael's when she told you she was pregnant again? Do you think she would cheat on you? Are you insulting yourself or my sister with such accusations? Olivia can raise this child alone. She doesn't need to lie."
Edwin's anger got the best of him, leading to harsh words.
"If you can't make her happy, stay away from her! You begged her to come back, even though you were still involved with another woman. Olivia forgave you and gave you a second chance nonetheless. After everything she's done for you, you've just broken her heart again! Dylan, you've lost any chance with her. The entire Evans family will never forgive you. You don't deserve her. Do you hear me?"
Unable to contain his fury, Edwin landed a punch on Dylan's face, exclaiming, “What a bastard!"
