Chapter: 4715
As they exited, they encountered someone they knew, who asked Cecilia for a favor.

So Olivia had to return to the hall by herself to retrieve her bag after washing her hands. Sitting next to Dylan afterwards was uncomfortable for her.

After their breakup, she decided it was best to keep her distance, to prevent any bitterness from growing between them.

Stepping out of the bathroom, she saw Dylan.

Their eyes locked, and the air filled with tension.

Breaking the silence, Olivia said, "Don't appear in front of me again, Dylan! What you're doing feels like harassment. Stop it! We're done! The damage you've caused is irreversible! And you know that!"

Dylan's expression turned sorrowful.

He gazed at her and said with a raspy voice, "Then let's try to be friends! Let me help look after Leyla and the new baby... Please, for their sake, let me be a part of their lives!"

Tears welled up in Olivia's eyes.

This was utterly humiliating for her.

Her love life had been chaotic. When Dylan came along, she thought she had finally found the right man.

But because of Gina, a stranger, he failed her.

His words pierced Olivia's heart like a knife.

A weak smile formed on her lips. She responded, “They don't need a father! My family and I can provide for them. Dylan, times have changed. Being a single mother isn't a curse these days. There are many single mothers out there thriving!"

After making her statement, Olivia was ready to walk away.

But suddenly, Dylan grabbed her wrist and pleaded softly, "Olivia, please, just give me one more chance to make things right. How about we try again, just once more? Maybe..."

“I don't think it's necessary!" Olivia declared indifferently. “I've already given you plenty of chances, Dylan! That's more than enough."

It wasn't that Olivia was completely against trying again with Dylan, but all her past attempts always left her feeling sad or disappointed.

Yet, if forced to choose, Olivia would prefer to completely let go of Dylan... She still hoped that he could live well. After all, disappointment might fade with time, but sadness could linger for a lifetime.

This was why she was so determined to leave him.

In the end, Dylan was unable to sway Olivia's decision.

In a corridor elsewhere, Edwin watched Olivia walk away and then leaned against the wall, visibly relieved. He reached out and pulled Laura into a silent embrace.

After a moment, Laura murmured, “Why didn't you intervene if you were against Olivia getting back with Dylan?"

Under the glow of the chandelier, Edwin looked strikingly handsome.
