Chapter: 4747
Dylan comfortingly patted her back.
Then, in a soothing tone, he assured, “Don't worry. I'll talk to your mom."
Hearing his words, Leyla was overjoyed and hugged him tightly.
Her reaction melted Dylan's heart. He felt remorseful for Olivia as well as Leyla. In return, he vowed to spend the rest of his life making up for his mistakes and taking good care of them and Eason.
Leyla felt so cozy in his arms that she didn't want to Leave.
So Dylan simply let her stay there.
Outside the door, Edwin stood, his hands full.
Observing the heartwarming scene, he couldn't decide if it was a positive development.
Edwin was aware that Olivia hadn't yet forgiven Dylan. Nonetheless, she permitted him to care for her and her children. Despite this, she had shown no inclination to reconcile with Dylan. Strangely, Dylan appeared unfazed by this.
The moment he entered, Leyla rushed over joyfully.
The little girl was so elated that she whispered in his ear, "Uncle Edwin, I have a daddy now."
Edwin's eyes welled with tears upon hearing her words.
Glancing at Dylan, Edwin said nothing but bent down to pick up Leyla.
Then, turning to Dylan, he remarked, “My mom and Laura made some soup for Olivia. They went to the church to pray for the baby and will come here later. So, you must look after Olivia and the baby until they come."
As Edwin spoke, Olivia stirred awake and greeted him.
Edwin went over to check on Eason and joked that the Little one had managed to deceive everyone.
Olivia shared the name of the baby boy with him. With a faint smile, Edwin welcomed Eason into the Evans family.
Meanwhile, Dylan felt a sense of melancholy creeping in.
He also wanted to raise Eason and Leyla, but Olivia refused his financial support... At that moment, he broached the topic once more.
To his surprise, Olivia didn't oppose the idea but actually replied softly, "As long as it doesn't affect your life, I have no objection to it."
Since Edwin was still present, Dylan refrained from saying anything further.
After Edwin left with Leyla, Dylan approached Olivia and asked, "What did you mean just now, Olivia? You know that the only people who matter to me now are you and the kids, right?"
After enduring the arduous delivery, Olivia lay on the white pillow, utterly drained. She looked fragile, like a delicate flower wilting under the weight of the world.
Turning her weary eyes to Dylan, she whispered, “Don't waste your time on me, Dylan. If you find someone suitable, go for it. I mean it. We are not in our twenties anymore; we need to be realistic."
