Chapter: 4809
By chance, one of the distant Evans family members was also in the hospital, giving birth to a baby as well.
Strolling with Cecilia, Mark spotted Raphael and Brantley in the distance.
He couldn't resist asking, "Who's that kid? Is he Raphael's child?"
Cecilia nudged his arm and whispered, “Come on, don't be silly. The kid must be from Elissa's side."
Mark gave a faint smile at her reply.
They didn't avoid Raphael. Despite past clashes, Raphael was still Leyla's father, after all.
Cecilia asked with concern, “Is Elissa having the baby?"
“Yeah. She just went into surgery," Raphael answered.
Cecilia nodded, understanding how tough childbirth could be.
Sitting on the bench, Mark glanced at Raphael and Brantley, and then handed his phone to Cecilia. “Call Gil and tell him I need to talk to him."
As she looked up the number, Cecilia said, "Gil is the hospital director! How can you just talk of him so casually like he's just nobody?"
Mark chuckled. "So what he's the director of this place? I used to hang out with his grandfather!"
Cecilia sighed and passed him the phone, saying, “Here, it's connected."
Mark took the phone, greeting, “Hey, it's Mark!"
Cecilia shook her head in resignation.
"I'm here at the hospital, visiting someone. No, not family. This guy's a friend's son from Duefron, and he's new in Czanch. His wife's having a baby and is going for a C-section. Can you get your top staff for her? Yes, yes, his father and I were very close!"
Raphael tensed up, hearing Mark talk.
Putting Elissa first, he put aside any issues with Mark and thanked him genuinely.
Leaning on his crutch, Mark said casually, “It's no big deal."
Then he asked, "Have you got a name for the baby yet?"
Raphael whispered, “Jarvis if it's a boy. Lisa if it's a girl."
Mark frowned. “Lisa? Isn't that name quite common?"
Raphael smiled softly. “It's Elissa's idea. I think it's sweet."
Mark laughed. "Alright, alright, no need to rub it in! It's indeed a nice name for a girl."
