Chapter: 4852
Olivia looked at Dylan and said slowly, "We've talked about this."
He stretched out his words, saying, "You mean, we'd just live together without being married all the time?"
She remained silent.
This was what they agreed on, after all.
Noticing her discomfort, Dylan relaxed. He slumped against the couch and closed his eyes. "If you need a house, I'll buy one for you. How can I let a woman take care of such expenses? What would that make of me?"
Olivia looked at him steadily.
He added softly, "It's not a big issue. Both of us can afford a house. However, as a man, it doesn't seem right for me to live in a house you purchase. Also, if we argue and you kick me out, it would be quite embarrassing and people might laugh.”
Olivia asked, “If I live in the house you buy and we argue, would you kick me out?"
Dylan grinned. "I wouldn't dare. Instead, I would leave myself."
His smile was genuine, making Olivia soften.
Dylan tapped her hand. “Then it's decided. I'll have my secretary look for a house near your brother's place. It will make it easier for your parents to visit."
Olivia marveled at his thoughtfulness.
“Thank you!"
"You're welcome!" Dylan responded quickly.
Olivia reclined against the sofa. He looked at her and held her hand softly.
They remained in the room, feeling at peace.
She might find it hard to love him as passionately as before, but she had moved on. Things had changed for her. Previously, she was young and free from responsibilities, able to live as she pleased.
Now, as a mother of two, her spontaneous days were behind her.
Her life had become simple and serene.
That afternoon, Edwin made a special trip back to Czanch. He was so busy that he had to return to Duefron for a meeting early the next morning.
