Chapter: 4857
They had been together for four hours.

Completely exhausted, Olivia barely wanted to move. She whispered to Dylan, “Could you check on the kids? I need to rest for a bit."

Dylan quickly dressed, made sure she was comfortable, and kissed her shoulder softly.

The gentle kiss made Olivia shiver slightly.

"I'll check on the kids. Don't worry. Rest well," Dylan said quietly.

Soon after, Olivia drifted into sleep.

When Dylan checked on Leyla, he found her sleeping soundly and carefully tucked her in. Suddenly, Eason's cries broke the silence-he had wet himself.

Dylan changed Eason's diaper carefully, wary of waking Leyla. He held Eason in his arms for a long while, soothing him until the boy fell asleep again after being put back in his cot.

Dylan affectionately stroked his hair before checking on Leyla again.

Once assured that both children were settled, he returned to his bedroom.

Olivia was awake, sitting up in bed, still appearing dazed and visibly tired, likely from the intense evening they had shared.

"Did Eason wake up?" she asked as Dylan entered the room.

He nodded. "Yes, he did, but he's back to sleep now after a diaper change."

As Olivia began to dress, Dylan, noticing her fatigue, suggested, “Why don't you get some more rest?" However, Olivia declined, insisting, "I need to feed Eason. He might be hungry."

She then headed to the bathroom for a shower.

Dylan followed her, intending to help. In the bathroom, he reflected on their past. He had once promised to cherish her and treat her like the princess. Yet now, instead of being pampered, Olivia had grown into a mature and sensible woman.

This realization filled Dylan with remorse. He silently vowed to make amends and treat her better moving forward.

Olivia, aware of his feelings of guilt over the past few years, understood his intentions.

She shook her head and said, “Actually, I think I'm doing fine! Dylan, not everyone is as lucky as me to have a family that's been so supportive over the years. Besides, it's my responsibility to sacrifice for the kids since I chose to bring them into this world. If I don't take care of them, who will? I can't dwell on the difficulties just because the journey has been tough. What happened between us doesn't affect my duty to the children.”

As she spoke, there was a charming determination in Olivia's expression.
