Chapter: 4864
She seemed oddly calm. Maybe she was just as fed up with their relationship as he was...
Maybe she was ready to pack up and find herself a new man!
With that on his mind, Luis shut his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
When he woke up, it was already seven o'clock in the morning, and there was commotion in the living room.
Curious, he sauntered out to find Elva fixing breakfast.
The sandwich looked tempting and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air!
He remarked casually, "I'll have what you're having. But I'll freshen up first!"
Elva took a sip of her coffee and said nonchalantly, “We split up yesterday. I am not obligated to feed you."
Luis frowned. "Aw, come on, Elva. You weren't this unreasonable in the past."
Elva flipped through the newspaper. Her tone was flat as she said, "I used to be nice because I didn't know you were two-timing me. You want to order me around like a servant after we broke up? Don't even dream about it!"
Luis gritted his teeth.
"Fine! I'll grab breakfast at a diner!"
He stomped back to the bedroom, took a quick shower, changed, and returned.
As he headed for the door, he grumbled, “Leave the key under the mat when you bail."
Elva glanced up, her expression blank.
After a beat, she murmured softly, “Got it."
Hearing her, Luis mellowed and said, "No, I didn't mean it. Sorry for being brash back there! Elva, stay as long as you need!"
With a newspaper in hand, Elva stumbled upon an article about Luis.
She stared at it for ages before murmuring, “That's nice of you, but I'll be off soon. The key will be under the mat... I don't want to cramp your style!"
Luis sensed Elva's frustration.
