Chapter: 4888
Considering her enthusiasm, Luis decided to indulge her. He could pay extra to have it delivered on time. So he agreed and tasked Cassidy with securing a replica directly from the designer.

Holley was overjoyed and thrilled.

After all, it was a custom-made dress.

However, what Luis hadn't anticipated was Elva showing up at his grandfather's birthday party wearing the same dress as Holley. The Fowler family couldn't make it, so Luis never expected that Elva would show up with the Finch family.

Cassius Mendez's birthday celebration was just around the corner.

The Mendez residence was splendidly decorated, brightly lit, and filled with cheer. Naturally reserved, Cassius had modeled his home after a grand palace.

However, the event boasted the city's finest orchestra and popular female vocalists, filling the air with energetic and vibrant tunes.

Cassius was beaming among his guests.

Looking at his children and grandchildren, he smiled warmly and exclaimed, "We can't just focus on what I like; we need to make this place enchanting for the young ones as well! Tonight's setup is just perfect!"

He then looked towards his eldest grandson and said, “Luis, there are many wonderful women here tonight. If you see someone you like, be brave and pursue her. If her parents object, I'll handle it!"

Cassius clearly didn't know about Holley.

Upon hearing this, Luis’ parents showed mixed expressions.

They did not approve of Holley's background and had additional worries. The Mendez family was large, and Luis stood out among his peers. For him to marry a waitress would seem absurd to those outside the family and shameful to those within.

Luis' mother, Joann, simply would allow that to happen.

She turned to Luis and softly said, "Your grandfather wants you to find a respectable lady, so take the initiative and ask someone out here! You're in your thirties; some people your age are already parents."

Seizing the moment, Luis said, “Well, there's someone I'd like you to meet."

Joann nearly fainted!

She assumed it had to be Holley. She was surprised by Luis ' determination to her here without Cassius' consent. She bring murmured, "Luis! Do you really want to upset your grandfather and shame us today."

Upon hearing this, Luis slightly furrowed his brow and said, "Mom, I hold no biases against anyone's class!"

Joann, clearly displeased, retorted, “Even if we overlook her social standing, there should at least be intellectual compatibility! You have a PhD; she's a waitress! You love horseback riding, shooting, and music; she likes late-night barbecues... What entertains you now might seem unsophisticated later. A lifetime together isn't built on novelty. Do you truly love her?"
