Chapter: 4899
If she were to reconcile with Luis, Kyler knew he wouldn't stand a chance.
Although usually confident, Kyler doubted he could compete with Luis, considering Elva's two-year relationship with him. Could she really move on that quickly?
Kyler stood and said, "I've lost my appetite. I'll head home and we can go out for dinner some other time."
His words carried a hint of distance.
Elva watched him silently.
After a moment, she flipped her long hair back and smiled, “Okay! But Kyler, just so you know, I prefer company."
She craved his continual presence.
Indeed, she had started to grow fond of him. Yet his hesitance irked her. She wanted him to know that she wasn't actually desperate.
Kyler paused, and then gently caressed her face, his voice low, saying, "I just want to give you some space to think. You still have feelings for him, don't you?"
With that, Elva decided not to detain him any longer.
She bid him a sensible farewell. They hadn't officially broken up, yet both sensed their relationship was drawing to a close.
As Kyler departed, he reflected on his affection for Elva, noting her beauty reminiscent of Wilma's. Both were striking, yet distinctively different.
Wilma was driven by ambition and always fierce.
Elva, on the other hand, hailed from a wealthy family and exuded an air of ease.
Her serenity was constant. With her, Kyler felt at ease, She could leisurely indulge in a facial mask for an hour, spend an entire afternoon baking a cake, or relax in a bath for two hours. To her, time was inconsequential; only the quality of life mattered.
Kyler realized this might have been why Luis had stayed with her for two years.
A man like Luis wouldn't casually spend two years with someone unless he truly valued their presence.
He had probably become so comfortable in her company that he overlooked her significance in his Life.
He had thought finding another soul mate would be easy. However, the initial excitement with Holley had quickly faded, teaching him a harsh lesson.
Kyler wasn't ready to give up, but he thought he had to.
