Chapter: 4912
"Later, I found out it was actually a favor for your cousin. That ring was very beautiful, which shows you understand what women Like, but you've never thought about getting one for me. You only thought about sending me jewelry after we break up. Do you think I need more jewelry? You chose Holley, even though I don't understand why. I assume she must have qualities that attract you-qualities that I don't have. Whether it's something new for you or something else, you truly cheated on me and fell in love with her while never loving me. I don't want to settle. Perhaps I still have feelings for you, but if you don't love me, so I don't want to be with you. I also want to feel loved and have someone to emotionally support me when I'm upset."
"For two years, I've felt unloved, and I don't want that anymore. Luis, breaking up means we don't belong to each other anymore. There's no need to try to start over or fix what's broken in our relationship. What's done is done. Just the thought of you and Holley having sex on the couch makes me feel sick for days."
The words proved difficult to digest.
In the past, Luis might have not tolerated it and instead become angry.
However, now he looked at Elva with tender affection.
He whispered to her, "Why didn't you speak up then? Why didn't you tell me you wanted to marry me? I thought we were on the same page, that our relationship was disposable, and that breaking up was simple and swift. I never realized you cared for me so deeply."
Unable to bear it any longer, Elva tuned out.
She clenched her teeth and said, "Now you're just like my menstrual cycle, something painful but has to be gone."
What?!
Luis' complexion paled at her remark.
Suffering from discomfort due to her menstrual cycle, Elva nudged him away. Ignoring her protest, Luis embraced her firmly and quipped, “But you're uncomfortable. Can't just Leave you be."
He draped the blanket over them, his warm hand tenderly resting on her abdomen to provide comfort and warmth.
She accused him of being cheeky.
Luis, lost in thought, held her close, cradling her in his arms. He closed his eyes and whispered, “Are you tired after a long day? Close your eyes and rest. Your stomach will feel better after you sleep for a while."
Elva struggled against his hold to no avail.
She stared at his handsome face.
So attractive!
She thought that spending two years sleeping with him wasn't a waste, and now she could simply use him as a source of warmth. It was a bargain.
She relaxed and nestled against his arm, drifting off to sleep.
It had been a while since they had simply cuddled, and she could sense his masculine scent. He, in turn, caught a whiff of her delicate feminine fragrance.
