When Luis came downstairs, the Fowler family wasn't surprised at all.

They had even set an extra place at the table for him already and had a bottle of wine ready.

Leonel greeted him warmly. “Luis, it's really nice of you to visit. I've heard you're quite a drinker. It's a shame my doctor banned me from drinking due to my leg injury, and that Marcus isn't much into it either. On that reasoning, I invited Edwin here to have a drink with you. Enjoy yourself today!"

As Leonel spoke, he placed another bottle of wine in front of Luis.

Luis smiled wryly.

Understanding the challenge, he sat down and accepted. "Thank you, Leonel, for your offer. I can't refuse."

He promptly downed three glasses of wine in a row.

He didn't even wince.

Leonel marveled at his alcohol tolerance.

He then exchanged a look with Edwin. Only Edwin could match Luis now.

Edwin smiled back slightly.

He lit a cigarette and relaxed. He looked Like every typical man content with his happy marriage.

Of course, he wouldn't trouble Luis right now.

He left the challenge to Elva's own siblings first.

Luis respectfully poured wine for Waylen and Rena, his future in-laws.

Waylen didn't give Luis a hard time. He couldn't stoop that low. His children would handle it.

After toasting, Luis downed another glass.

He also stayed confident as showing weakness constantly wasn't an option.

When Alexis and Elva came downstairs, they saw Luis had taken off his expensive jacket and was chatting with Leonel and the others with a cigarette in his mouth. His hand was on the back of Elva's chair which showed his closeness to her.

Approaching the table, Elva received a courteous gesture as Luis stood and pulled out her chair.
