She had believed that after graduating and starting work at the Mendez Group, she could remain close to Luis, thinking they still had a chance to be together. However, she didn't expect that in just a few months, Luis and Elva had got back together and they would even be getting married soon.

How could she accept it?

At Mendez Group, Luis was handling documents when Cassidy entered hesitantly, “Mr. Mendez, Holley wants to see you. I tried to dissuade her for quite a while, but she still wouldn't leave."

Luis paused, and then set down his pen. After a moment of thought, he said, “Let her in.”

Cassidy left to bring Holley in.

Holley walked in soon after, looking deliberately dressed up but still haggard. It was clear she had suffered in the past few days.

The first thing she said when she saw Luis was, "Are you going to marry her?"

Luis sat behind his desk, dressed neatly and exuding an air of indifference. The gentleness she once knew was nowhere to be found.

"Yes," Luis replied calmly.

Holley's eyes went wide as she yelled, "You don't love her! You're only marrying her because your families are equals. Luis, you once said that being with me was interesting and fresh."

"I love her now," Luis responded bluntly. He looked at Holley, guessing her thoughts, and asked, "Do you have any requests? You can state them."

He was prepared to make amends for his past mistakes, even though he hadn't really gone far with her.

He didn't want Holley to bother Elva again, so he was willing to compromise.

Holley bit her lip and whispered, "I want to go abroad. I want you to visit me at least twice a year. And I hope to have our child!"

Luis sneered upon hearing her out.

Actually, Luis did have some feelings for Holley when they were together.

After all, she was very sweet towards him.

But right now, he was shocked by her behavior. He now knew for the first time just how ridiculous and irrational she could be.

“Are you out of your mind?" he said calmly, staring at her. “Holley, listen, I'll soon get married. I'll never betray Elva by having an affair with another woman."

"Here is $5 million," he said after writing her a check. "That's the best I can do for you!"
