Chapter: 1527
Glancing at Melon, still pale and unconscious, Ariana couldn't contain her emotions and burst into tears.
Mitchel gently patted her shoulder, then after a moment of contemplation, proposed, “Instead of sending Melon's medical records back, why not head directly to Melcorn for treatment? Melon's case is exceptionally rare, with limited treatment precedents in Eleymond.
Besides, the mew hospital isn't familiar with Melon's prior treatments, and the handover process could waste valuable time.
Returning to Melcorn and consulting Melon's former attending physician seems the better choice. Melon will also be more comfortable in that environment."
“Yes, the handover process and transferring records can be cumbersome.
Directly returning to Melcorn for treatment would be more convenient.
Melon can't afford any further delays," Sonia said. "Don't worry.
I'll keep an eye on your work here. There won't be any problems.”
“Okay, Ariana replied without hesitation, resolved to give up her career in Eleymond for Melon's treatment.
Attempting to book tickets on her phone, Ariana suddenly recalled its earlier mishap in the water basin during her panicked state. Her phone, damaged and unresponsive, wouldn't turn on.
Seeing this, Mitchel took out his phone and opened the booking software. “Let me buy the tickets for you. I'll go back to Melcorn with you. I can help you with all this."
Ariana nodded gratefully. “Okay, thank you."
Throughout the entire afternoon, Holden couldn't reach Ariana on the phone. He dialed her number every ten minutes, but not a single call was answered. Every attempt landed straight in voicemail.
Growing increasingly vexed, Holden paced his office, battling to contain his impatience. He fought back the urge to head straight to Ariana's villa.
After a long, wearisome day, Holden arrived home in the evening. As soon as he stepped inside, he found Adele waiting by the door, lifting his spirits a bit. Picking up Adele, he headed towards the living room.
After spending some time playing with Adele, Holden discovered that Sadie was not at home.
“Where is Sadie?" Holden casually asked a servant while playing with Adele.
“Miss Pierre went out earlier. She mentioned she'd be attending a party with friends and won't be back tonight," the servant replied.
Internally scoffing, Holden chose to stay silent. Lately, Sadie had been making a habit of staying out late, either dining with her work agent or hanging out with her friends.
He had a fair idea of her scheme but opted not to interfere.
