Chapter: 1548
"What? That's not what you told me when you gave it to me!"

Zayden's face darkened instantly, cursing inwardly at Sadie's foolishness. With a stern expression, he snapped, "Zip it!"

Meanwhile, Holden remained composed. Looking at them, he said calmly, “We're all part of the Fredrick family, and I am not looking for trouble. I can grant your wish. You two can be together from now on."

Having said that, Holden paid no mind to Zayden's escalating displeasure. Instead, he directed his attention to Sadie.

Before Holden could speak, Sadie, terrified, shook her head, stepping back. "No, Holden, you can't do this. I'm Adele's mother, for heaven's sake! Forgive me. I did it under duress. You're the only one I love. He was just a balm for my loneliness. Please, Holden, I can't lose you!"

Holden let out a cold chuckle. "At this juncture, you still call yourself Adele's mother?"

This statement stiffened Sadie's body. Before she could respond, Holden casually added, “It's because you're Adele's mother that you're breathing right now, until today to be precise!"

Realizing Holden's leniency was solely for Adele's sake, Sadie panicked, finding herself speechless for a moment.

Holden was about to mention the media-invited wedding between Sadie and Zayden. But at that moment, the door swung open unexpectedly.

Holden's gaze darted toward the entrance, and he saw Ariana with a bleeding forehead standing there. Beside her stood the middle-aged woman who had previously greeted him as "Young Master" at the hospital.

Ariana stared blankly at the figure in the room resembling Theodore.

Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the blood. Drop by drop, they fell to the floor.

Holden, taken aback by Ariana's sudden appearance, was about to speak when the middle-aged woman urged, "Madam, we must go to the hospital now!"

Holden's heart danced a jig of alarm as a wave of concern rushed through him in a heartbeat. He hastened his steps, trying to reach Ariana's side.

Seeing Ariana's sudden entry into the room, Sadie sprang into action instantly. She bolted forward, clasping Holden's hand tightly, tears cascading down her cheeks while emitting a loud, piercing cry.

“Holden! I'm carrying your baby!"

Holden came to an abrupt stop, casting a frosty glare back at her.

"I'll give you a moment to rethink this. I've never laid a finger on you. How on earth could you be expecting my child?" he retorted coldly.

Faced with Holden's icy reaction, Sadie felt a jolt of fear, but with Ariana present, she knew she had to keep Holden by her side at all cost.

She clenched her jaw, forcing herself to remain composed. "It's been almost a month. I planned to tell you after the wedding. It happened when you were off your head drunk. I know you can't recall a thing because you were wasted, but I found out a few days ago from the doctor."
