Chapter: 1586
Witnessing the mother-daughter bond, Ariana felt an unexplainable tug at her heart. A heavy sensation lingered, suggesting something was off with Sadie, though Ariana couldn't pinpoint what it was.

With Sadie embracing Adele, Ariana pushed those thoughts aside.

She sighed inwardly. She believed that as long as Sadie treated Adele well, she didn't care about why Sadie had changed.

With mixed feelings swirling within her, Ariana saw no reason to stay any longer. She turned to leave.

But just as she was about to step away, Sadie’s voice stopped her.

"Ariana," Sadie called out.

Ariana's brows drew together in confusion. Then, Sadie's plea caught her off guard. "Can't you just let me be?"

Turning back with a look of surprise, Ariana couldn't help but ask, “What are you talking about? When have I ever made things hard for you? Haven't you been the one causing me trouble?"

Tears streamed down Sadie's face as she faced Ariana, admitting, "I know I've been harsh to you before. I'm sorry for that. Truly, I am."

Sadie's tearful eyes and her plea for understanding made her Look like she was the victim of all their past conflicts.

Through her tears, she begged, "Please, just leave Holden."

Ariana's expression tightened, but before she could respond, Sadie continued, "I'm willing to forget everything that happened between us. I can move past it. But Adele and the baby I'm carrying need their father."

Continuing to cry, Sadie said, “You can hate me all you want. Do whatever you wish to me for what happened before. But I'm begging you. For the children's sake, leave Holden and spare me."

As Ariana listened, her displeasure grew. Sadie's words seemed to accuse her of being a homewrecker.

She wanted to argue back but found herself at a loss for words.

With a cold glance at the tearful Sadie and the innocent Adele, Ariana chose to remain silent, turning around to leave.

Shawn, caught in the awkwardness of the moment, didn't know whether to follow Ariana or not. If he did, Sadie and Adele would be left behind alone.

After wrestling with his thoughts, he faced Sadie, inquiring, "Miss Pierre, how did your medical check-up go?"

Sadie responded with a cold laugh, taunting, “Ariana had already left, and you still didn't chase after her? You don't even know how to be a loyal dog for Holden. Aren't you worried about Holden holding you accountable?"

Stung by Sadie's cutting words, even Shawn, known for his patience, found himself irked. Without a word, he turned and hurried after Ariana.
