Chapter: 1625
The lobby manager noticed Holden pausing and glancing at Ariana, which caused him to become alarmed. He quickly said, "Mr. Fredrick, I'll handle this immediately and get rid of them."
Get rid of them?
Upon hearing this, Holden frowned, understanding why Ariana seemed upset.
Holden shot the lobby manager a frosty glare, prompting the manager to immediately stop talking and bow his head in silence, puzzled about what he had said wrong.
Then, he saw Holden stride over with determined steps. The lobby manager smirked and muttered to himself, "Surely, this woman is about to be kicked out now."
However, his smile was abruptly halted.
He saw Holden, who was typically aloof, affectionately patting the woman's head, smiling.
What just happened?
The lobby manager stared at them, his eyes wide with astonishment. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, wondering if he was seeing things incorrectly.
Yet, this time, he clearly saw Holden reach out to touch the woman's face, only for her to gently push his hand aside.
What was going on?
The lobby manager watched, puzzled by their interaction.
Ariana was still upset, but the sight of Holden caught her off guard for a moment. Then, it clicked for her that they were in the BRD Group's building, so it wasn't unusual to run into him here.
She brushed his hand off and wrapped up her phone call before turning her attention to Holden.
“What brings you here? Did you come looking for me?" Holden said to Ariana with a warm smile, clearly pleased to see her.
"Why would I come to see you with all this stuff?" Ariana felt a mix of irritation and amusement upon hearing his words, gesturing towards the heap of things behind her. She frowned slightly and explained, “The office space Randell leased is right next to yours. They're fixing up the underground parking lot over there, so I ended up renting half of the BRD Group's underground parking space. Now, I'm moving all the office supplies over."
Holden, taken aback, asked, "Why didn't you let me know?"
Ariana responded with a hint of frustration, "It slipped my mind."
Seeing Ariana's disheartened expression and the security guards around her, Holden immediately figured out the situation. He whispered, “Did they stop you from going there?"
Ariana nodded, clearly upset. “The transport team was going to move things there. But then, that man complained that my presence was tarnishing your company's image and stopped us."
