Chapter: 1667
He gazed at Holden, puzzled, and asked casually, “What's wrong? How can you not remember me? Have you lost your memory or something?"

Adrian meant it as a light-hearted joke, but Holden solemnly nodded.

“Yes, I have lost my memory."

“What? Really?" Adrian stared at Holden in disbelief, but Holden returned his look with a serious expression.

Suddenly, Adrian remembered that Aldus had been the one who had transferred him to Allemicano.

Back then, he had assumed it was because he had been about to marry Jennifer, and Aldus had sent him to Allemicano for career development.

He had wanted to meet Holden but had been stopped by Aldus, who had insisted that Holden needed to rest quietly.

Adrian hadn't thought much of it at the time. He had planned to reconnect with Holden later, but unexpectedly, after he had left Eleymond, Aldus had cut off all news about Holden.

At the time, Adrian had assumed it was due to family reasons and hadn't asked further.

Now, he realized that Holden's memory loss might have been why Aldus had blocked all news about Holden.

Adrian didn't have much time to think. Since they were all here, he wanted to introduce himself properly first.

“Just a moment." As he said, he pulled out his phone and found a photo of the two of them from their study abroad days. He also showed Holden a certificate proving he had been the vice president of the BRD Group in Eleymond.

He said, “Look, we really do know each other. Buddy, we've been friends since school. I used to help you with a lot of things at the BRD Group."

After seeing the photo and the document, Holden took Adrian seriously.

He looked at Adrian for a couple of seconds, then signaled the bodyguard to step aside. Approaching Adrian, he asked, “Have we really known each other that long?"

"Yes." Adrian nodded.

Then, Holden instructed Shawn to take Melon and Adele to the exhibition. After the two children left, he asked Adrian, "Do you know Ariana?"

“Of course." Adrian was confused by the question and then casually said, “Isn't she your wife?"

Reassured by his response, Holden immediately trusted him. He nodded and said, "Well, it seems that you truly are my good friend."

"I told you so." Adrian grinned and put his arm around Holden's shoulder. "Let's go. It's been five years since we last saw each other. Let's catch up."
