But Wilbert just laughed it off. He said he didn't mind. Since he really liked her, he wanted to try his best to win her heart.

So, despite Jennifer's rejection, Wilbert remained by her side unwaveringly. It was as if she was the only one in his eyes.

Since Jennifer sat in front of Adrian, she felt uncomfortable.

At this moment, Wilbert offered her a bottle of water.

Jennifer wanted to refuse at first. But she suddenly remembered that Adrian was still behind her. She paused, then changed her earlier dismissive attitude. She smiled at Wilbert and asked softly, “Can you put a straw inside the bottle for me?"

Wilbert was surprised, but he was delighted at the same time. Finally, Jennifer accepted something from him. His eyes lit up as he said happily, “Of course!”

Then, he hurriedly took the straw, put it inside, and extended the bottle to Jennifer.

Jennifer didn't take the bottle. Instead, she smiled, leaned forward, and sipped from the straw while Wilbert held the bottle.

Adrian had been watching Jennifer's every move from behind. When he saw this scene, he was so furious that his face turned red. He was about to say something when Holden suddenly pinched his thigh hard.

The pain made him let out a muffled groan and hold back any outburst.

Jennifer heard the noise behind her, but she didn't look back. She snorted inwardly but smiled charmingly at Wilbert while thanking him.

She chatted and laughed with him, making Wilbert's ears and cheeks red.

While the other guests were chatting and laughing happily, Wilbert quietly peeled an orange. He broke it into half, carefully removed the white pith, and put it in front of Jennifer's mouth, wanting to feed her.

Jennifer was stunned for a moment. Then, she opened her mouth. But before she could eat the orange, a big mouth suddenly appeared, biting off the orange from Wilbert's hand.

Jennifer paused suddenly. She turned to see Adrian happily munching on the slice of orange, grinning at Wilbert as he said, "You peel oranges so well!"

Wilbert was taken aback, too, but since his crush was right next to him, he simply smiled politely and didn't say anything. Instead, he peeled another slice of orange for Jennifer.

Right when he was about to give it to Jennifer, Adrian swiftly snatched it again.

Adrian enjoyed the orange, teasingly peeking at Wilbert from behind Jennifer, and even gave Wilbert a thumbs up, saying, “Why does it seem like the oranges you peel taste better than the ones I peel myself?"

Wilbert chuckled awkwardly and handed the whole orange to Adrian.

Jennifer was feeling resigned, rolling her eyes at Adrian.
