Chapter: 1709
As she answered the video call, Ariana saw Melon and Adele, both looking happy.
“Mommy |"
"Aria!"
Ariana, brimming with happiness, chatted with them.
Melon, clutching the phone, asked, “Mommy, when are you coming home? It feels like ages since I last saw you."
In fact, they had just met that morning.
With a warm smile, Ariana replied, "I'll be home very soon, sweetheart."
Then, Adele popped into the frame, exclaiming, "Aria! I miss you!”
"I miss you, too, Adele! How about I bake you a special cake when I'm back?" Ariana proposed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Adele nodded enthusiastically.
Soon, Holden, now dressed, joined Ariana, drawing her close so their heads touched in a snug pose.
He greeted the children with a cheerful smile.
Watching them together, Melon, with a knowing chuckle, asked Holden, “Did you finally win my mommy over?"
Holden flashed a grin like he had just won a big victory and nodded with pride. "So, are you going to start calling me Dad now?"
Ariana, a bit annoyed, pushed Holden's head away and fixed him with a stern look.
She was concerned about Melon, who was particularly sensitive about this topic.
Sensing he might have pushed too hard, Holden was about to steer the conversation elsewhere when Melon looked at them calmly and nodded.
"Yeah, Dad."
At Melon's words, Ariana and Holden were taken aback, staring at each other in shock.
Ariana was especially baffled. Melon had shifted his stance so quickly, which was out of character for him.
