Chapter: 1730
Meanwhile, in Zayden's manor, Sadie and Zayden appeared to be in a cozy relationship, but Zayden was just putting on a show. He had the room prepared beforehand, including a table set with a variety of healthy foods that complemented each other.
He acted like a kind gentleman, putting his arm around Sadie and offering her food. “Try this; it's healthy," he said with a smile.
He carefully ladled some soup, let it cool down, and offered it to Sadie's mouth.
Sadie sipped the soup without hesitation. Despite appreciating his care, she couldn't shake off the irritation knowing that Holden and Ariana were enjoying the love-variety show together.
As she thought about the pictures on the news, her anger grew stronger.
At that moment, one of Zayden's men approached and whispered something to him.
Sadie glanced at them but couldn't hear the conversation. She only saw Zayden's expression change as he asked in disbelief, "What? You couldn't find them?"
The man nodded and said, “They might have fallen into the sea. Our team and Shawn's team were all searching, but we couldn't find any trace of them."
Upon hearing this, Zayden seemed thrilled. He tried his best to contain his excitement, nodding in response. "Got it. You can leave now."
Once the man left, Zayden turned back to Sadie and kissed her passionately.
Confused and curious, Sadie asked, “What's going on? Why are you so happy?"
With a wide grin, Zayden relaxed on the sofa, one arm around Sadie.
He took a few puffs of his cigar and said, "Holden and Ariana fell into the sea. They're still missing, and I don't think they're alive.”
Zayden burst into laughter.
Initially, he had just wanted to get rid of Ariana. It was a pleasant surprise that Holden had gone missing along with Ariana.
With Holden out of the picture, all of the Fredrick family's wealth would belong to him. He would basically have control over an empire worth hundreds of billions, without any rivals.
It looked like brighter days were ahead for him.
While Zayden savored the happiness, Sadie was stunned in disbelief.
It took her a long time to understand what she had heard.
Losing control of her emotions, she grabbed Zayden's wrist, looked at him with red eyes, and asked in a trembling voice, “Do you mean Holden is dead? Did you do it?"
