Chapter: 1745
The hypnotherapist was waiting for Holden on the rooftop.
This was Holden's third hypnotherapy session.
He lay in the hypnosis chair, and the hypnotist began to hypnotize him. His consciousness began to blur, and he gradually drifted into a dream.
Compared to the previous two nightmares, this time, the dream was much better.
In his dream, he was in the garden of an old house with Ariana. They walked around under the bright sunlight, talking and Laughing happily.
However, a disheveled man in a white suit suddenly broke in. His neck-long hair fluttered with the wind, and he looked fierce and full of hatred. He stared at Holden intently, pointed a knife at him, and screamed hysterically, "Ariana is mine! You adulterer!"
As he cursed, the man charged at Holden and stabbed him in the chest.
Holden suddenly woke up. He sat up with eyes wide open, panting heavily.
The hypnotherapist handed Holden a towel before preparing to take notes. "Did you see anything in your dream this time?" she inquired.
Holden paused, collecting his thoughts, then described the scene from his dream.
The hypnotherapist nodded as she scribbled down notes. “That's promising," she commented. “It shows your memory is beginning to incorporate other people. The scenes from your dreams might reveal something about your relationships."
Hearing her words, Holden's brow creased in confusion. He couldn't recall the man who had attacked him in the dream, but being called an adulterer deeply bothered him. He just sat there with a darkened face.
As the session ended, the hypnotherapist left, and Devin approached Holden.
Noticing Holden's demeanor, Devin asked, “What came up in your dream this time?"
With a serious expression, Holden shared the details of his dream and then questioned Devin, "Do you know the man I dreamed about?"
He tried to describe the man's face from his dream Devin listened intently, his expression turning thoughtful.
The description reminded him of someone.
"Just a moment," Devin said, pulling out his phone. After a few swipes, he showed Holden a photo. "Is this the man you saw? This is Jasper Anderson.”
Holden was taken aback.
He had researched the Anderson family previously, yet this Jasper seemed unlike the one in the photographs he had seen. "Is this Jasper? He doesn't resemble the person in the files."
