Chapter: 1883
Although Zayden's face was wounded, he wore a smug smile. "Somewhere you will never find," he replied.
After a pause, he continued to provoke Holden. “How do you feel about it? You will never see your beloved woman again for the rest of your life. It must be hard for you to lose her, right? Holden, it's so exciting to think that she must have been torn to pieces by wild beasts now. No one will save her even if she cries for mercy."
When Holden heard this, his eyes turned red. He was so angry that he almost went crazy. He grabbed Zayden and beat him up. He said through clenched teeth, “If something happens to her, you, Sadie, and your unborn child will all pay for it!"
"Do you really think I care? You honestly think you can kill me right now?" Zayden spat out his words with clenched teeth while swinging a punch at Holden.
They fought fiercely, but they were evenly matched, both unable to gain the upper hand.
Meanwhile, Adrian was fighting Zayden's crew, struggling to leave and assist Holden. He could only try to prevent Zayden's men from going over to help Zayden.
As the fight continued, Holden's rage surged, turning him savage. His bloodshot eyes locked onto Zayden. He quickly gained the upper hand and pinned Zayden down, raining down a barrage of punches.
Zayden proved resilient, enduring the blows while covertly searching for the gun on the ground.
He found the gun Holden had knocked aside. But as he was about to pick it up, Holden acted swiftly, seizing the gun, cocking it, and pressing it under Zayden's chin, gripping his hair tightly.
"Where is Ariana? Spit it out!" Holden demanded, his finger tense on the trigger, eyes ablaze with fury. "Speak up now, or I'll kill you!”
Both of them were covered in blood now. Zayden met Holden's gaze and saw the madness in his eyes.
Zayden chuckled, refusing to yield now that he had Holden teetering on the edge.
“Fine, finish me off! Then you'll never discover where she's hidden! Come on, pull the trigger!" Zayden exclaimed.
Zayden's taunts pricked Holden's nerves like needles. Unable to contain his fury, Holden retorted, “You think I won't? I can find her without you! You're too arrogant. Rot in hell!"
He pulled the trigger, but all that echoed was an empty click. No bullets were discharged.
Zayden erupted in laughter, displaying the removed magazine and flinging the bullets in Holden's direction. In a swift motion, he withdrew a dagger from his belt and thrust it into Holden's body.
Holden's cry of pain echoed as he released Zayden. Seizing the opportunity, Zayden punched him and stumbled away.
Disregarding the pain from the stab, Holden pursued Zayden. Despite their injuries, they both limped on.
Zayden reached an open area by the port, where a helicopter was waiting for him.
As they neared, someone aboard the helicopter fired at Holden, forcing him to seek cover.
