Chapter: 1885
Regardless, she had crossed a line and now needed to save herself.

Realizing that nowhere in Eleymond was safe for her now, Sadie knew she had to leave here before Holden discovered everything. She decided to go to a place far away and come back when everything settled down.

Just as she was preparing to flee with her packed bags, she ran into Devin.

Startled by Devin's sudden appearance, Sadie's first instinct was to run away, but it was already too late. The bodyguards Devin had brought quickly surrounded her.

Trying to keep her calm, Sadie managed a forced smile and asked nervously, "Devin, what brings you here? What's happening? Where's Holden?"

Devin, wearing a fake smile and adopting a courteous tone, answered slowly, “Miss Pierre, what's the occasion for these bags? Your agent informed us you suffered a heart attack and were hospitalized. When we couldn't find you in the hospital, we feared your agent might have abducted you. It's a relief to see you safe, but given your heart condition, where do you plan to go now?"

"Well..." Sadie chuckled nervously. "I was in the hospital before. I'm here to grab a few things. Now, I'll head back."

Her smile was strained as she looked around at the others, trying to keep things light. “Really, I'm okay. I'll go back to the hospital."

She began to walk away, but the bodyguards stopped her.

Devin said, "Let me drive you back, Miss Pierre."

"No, thanks!" Sadie quickly declined, her smile slipping. “My driver's just up the street, waiting for me. No need to bother, Devin."

But as she was about to leave with her bags, Devin said firmly, "I insist, Miss Pierre. You really can't refuse."

He signaled, and the bodyguards closed in, blocking Sadie's way.

"Please, Miss Pierre." He gestured for the car.

Near the entrance of Mercy Hospital's emergency room, a group of people with somber looks were waiting.

Sarah, tears staining her cheeks, clung to Melon, who was also struggling to hold back his tears. "She's going to be fine; don't worry," Sarah murmured softly.

Aziel and Tyler were nearby, their faces tense as they awaited news from the emergency room.

Looking up, Sarah was surprised to see Sonia's boss, Maxwell, joining them.

She wasn't sure how Maxwell had found out about this, but he had come quickly and now stood quietly off to the side, a look of concern marking his features.

Sonia had been in surgery for several hours, and the wait had been unbearable for everyone.
