Chapter: 1892
There seemed to be no escape for her.

This realization struck her suddenly.

She looked at Bennett, recognizing him as the most dangerous person here. Compared with him, her cleverness and tactics were insignificant. In his presence, she saw no chance of escape.

As she was grappling with her reality, a chilling touch on her neck plunged her world into darkness.

K had silently approached and injected her using a syringe, watching as she collapsed.

After Ariana fell, K neatly put away the syringe, turned to Bennett, and bowed respectfully. “I'm sorry, Mr. Olson. I let her out before she was ready, which ruined the fun.”

Since Bennett fired his gun, everyone else had frozen in place. They stood there like statues, not daring to make a sound.

The arena, which was usually bustling and noisy, was now quiet.

Even the wild animals in the cage were hushed. A tense atmosphere enveloped the entire place.

Bennett waved his hand without saying anything. The people below immediately understood and started to move. They dragged the body of the man in black away. No one knew where they would take the body, and everyone else still didn't dare to move.

Bennett slowly walked down from the stands, and the crowd on both sides automatically made way for him.

He walked all the way to Ariana, lying next to a trail of blood on the ground. The smell of blood in the air hadn't dissipated yet.

Bennett stood next to Ariana, thrust his hands in his pockets, and looked down at her with a playful smile. It was as if he was looking at a piece of intriguing merchandise.

Ariana was still wearing the dress she had been wearing at the banquet. The hem of her fishtail skirt was now torn, revealing her smooth skin beneath. She was like a wounded but beautiful mermaid.

Bennett glanced at her injured leg, and her defiant eyes appeared in his mind.

It was that look that piqued his interest. If he killed her too soon, it wouldn't be fun.

He crouched down, stretched out his hand, and wiped the blood off her face. Then, he pushed her hair back to have a better view of her facial features.

"Is this the woman Zayden is after?" Bennett asked, raising an eyebrow. The corners of his lips curved into a smirk.

"Yes, sir," K replied respectfully.

Bennett didn't say anything more. He just stared at Ariana with great interest in his eyes.
