Chapter: 1905
Devin had locked her here four days ago, and since then, no one had come to visit, except for the bodyguard who delivered her meals.

Completely cut off from the outside world, the silence only served to heighten Sadie's anxiety, leaving her restless and deprived of sleep.

Clueless about the unfolding events and Holden's plans, she was in constant uncertainty and fear.

As she paced nervously in the room, Sadie suddenly heard footsteps approaching from outside.

She froze, her gaze fixated anxiously on the door, her heart pounding with trepidation.

The bodyguard had already brought her food earlier, so who could it be now?

Finally, the door swung open, and Holden walked in.

When Sadie saw Holden, she felt a rush of joy and immediately walked toward him. But as soon as she noticed his grim look, her happiness turned into anxiety.

Holden appeared thinner and more intense. His eyes were dark and hollow as if they were shutting out the light, giving him a distant, icy vibe.

Holden hadn't said anything yet, but Sadie already started to back away.

She coughed awkwardly and forced a strained smile. "Holden, you're here. Why have you been keeping me in here all this time? What happened?"

Sadie watched Holden, feigning ignorance, while trying to figure out why he was here.

Holden pointed to a chair. "Sit down. You shouldn't be on your feet too much since you're pregnant," he said, his voice so gentle that Sadie almost thought he cared.

Was Ariana really dead?

Sadie felt a surge of happiness.

She believed that Holden was coming back to her since Ariana was dead. She would be the only one by Holden's side now.

As Sadie sat, pretending to be clueless, Holden lit a cigarette and said, "Ariana had a car accident. It was bad."

Sadie was very happy to hear that, though she faked a look of surprise. "Really? How did that happen? I had no idea. Who was behind that?"

Holden glanced at Sadie and took another puff from his cigarette.

"Zayden's dead," he said flatly.
