Chapter: 1911
Sadie flinched and immediately shut up.
Holden glared at Sadie.
He knew she would never tell the truth, and he had no time for her lies.
But he believed now was not the time to kill her.
Holden stood up and kicked over the chair. He said coldly, "I'll investigate this myself."
After saying this, he turned around and walked away.
Sadie stood up and followed him desperately, exclaiming, "Holden, it's true! Please don't leave me here. I've already told you everything! I've also told you everything about Zayden. You can't just leave me here. Holden! Let me out of here!"
However, Holden's bodyguards blocked her way, pushed her back into the room, and slammed the door shut.
Holden felt exhausted after suppressing his anger for a long time. He went to the top floor with heavy thoughts.
If Sadie wasn't Adele's mother, then whose child was Adele?
Holden didn't believe he had had a one-night stand. Sadie had not been telling the truth at all.
Holden looked out the window. The image of Adele and Ariana being together came to his mind.
Could it be...
He remembered Ariana had once said she had given birth to twins years ago, and one of the twins, a girl, had died. Adele seemed the same age as Melon. Besides, Melon and Adele looked strikingly similar.
These details had been overlooked before. But now, Holden pieced them together.
Holden thought for a while. Then, he turned to Devin and ordered, “Devin, get someone to check the hospital where Ariana gave birth, especially any personnel changes there five years ago.”
When Devin learned of the mission, he was stunned at first, but he quickly understood what Holden meant.
Nodding, he said, “Okay, sir."
After a moment, he added, “We sorted out the Mistlyn arms that got mixed up with our shipment and traced them back to Conata."
Devin spread the documents before Holden.
