Chapter: 1930
It had been a while since anyone made him laugh like this.

He no longer wanted to kill her now.

In the beast den.

Ariana let out a relieved sigh after purposely shattering the surveillance camera.

Now that the camera was ruined, Bennett wouldn't find out if Adrian or Holden came to see her.

Ariana crushed the remaining pieces, making sure it was utterly wrecked.

After checking the room for more surveillance equipment and finding none, Ariana hoped Bennett wouldn't install another monitor.

But just as she settled into her seat, she heard the click of the door lock.

Ariana's body tensed instantly.

Who would show up at such an hour? Was Bennett truly after her solely for a surveillance gadget?

Ariana held her breath, feeling nervous. Even though it seemed drastic for Bennett to arrive for such a reason, for him, certainty was elusive.

Bennett always did whatever he pleased, killing without a second thought.

Shortly after, the door swung open, unveiling a small group under the leadership of a man who appeared to be in charge of the beast den.

The man was the one who had let everyone register before.

Ariana had observed the profound respect everyone else held for him, confirming his authority here.

Rising to her feet with the puppy in her arms, Ariana eyed them cautiously.

The room was permeated with the potent scent of the newborn puppy, causing the man to grimace in displeasure.

He didn't enter but just glanced at the puppy in Ariana's arms.

"You're lucky. We were here to collect your body. Since we don't need to do that now, you might as well sleep here tonight."

Coldly, he instructed someone behind him, “Fetch her some food."
