Chapter: 1966
When Ariana heard one of Bennett's men's voice, she realized he was searching for her, and she couldn't help but feel anxious.
Even though there were more people on her side now, the man was tough to handle. If they couldn't subdue him quickly, it might attract unwanted attention.
“Jump out the window," the male bodyguard said calmly, drawing the curtain. "The car is waiting at the back door."
Ariana paused, looking at the female bodyguard. "What will happen to you if we go?"
"Don't worry about me, Miss Edwards. I'll handle it," the female bodyguard reassured her. She then produced a human skin mask, slipping it over her face. Instantly, she transformed into a replica of Ariana.
Ariana, stunned, said, "That's really impressive."
"The power of technology. This mask is a cutting-edge product from the Fredrick Group, not yet available to the public. It's perfect for this situation, and they won't suspect a thing." The female bodyguard adjusted the mask on her face and urged, "You should leave now."
Once the mask was securely in place, the female bodyguard confidently opened the door and stepped out.
Meanwhile, the male bodyguard opened the window and instructed Ariana, "Jump, Miss Edwards."
Without further delay, Ariana used the male bodyguard as a step, climbed up to the window, and leaped out.
Adrian led Bennett to the beasts' den to check the breasts' condition.
To Bennett's dismay, the beasts chosen for tonight's competition had undergone a significant change. They lost their fierce demeanor and now lay lethargically in their cages. The situation was obviously not optimistic.
Bennett could tell at a glance that this was not a natural occurrence. Someone must have done something to the beasts.
"Who did this?" Bennett growled with a darkened expression.
Everyone exchanged glances, but none of them answered his question.
"You are all a bunch of trash!" Bennett shouted, clearly angry. He immediately ordered, "Lock down the entire manor. I want a thorough investigation!"
Bennett didn't care about the beasts. Even if they died, it wasn't a big deal to him. But tonight's guests were very significant people.
He couldn't let anything happen to them. Their safety was paramount because they were all in the same boat with him.
Standing at the side, Adrian looked at Bennett admiringly. He had been observing Bennett, and he couldn't help but be amazed at how swift and decisive Bennett was in handling the situation.
No wonder Bennett had managed to climb to the position of the head of his family. His insight and judgment were exceptional. Even without evidence, he had deduced that the beasts' condition had been caused by people.
