Chapter: 1975
Immediately after his words, the man aiming a gun at Adrian fell abruptly, his throat slit by the person behind him.
In the blink of an eye, the situation took a dramatic turn.
Bennett regained his composure first, staring in disbelief at his long-time associate who had betrayed him. The traitor had been a trusted confidant for years.
Bennett couldn't fathom when Holden had infiltrated his people.
This individual had exhibited loyalty long before any conflicts with Holden arose. How could this happen?
Before Bennett could make sense of it, the attacker removed his human-skin mask, exposing a face entirely unfamiliar to Bennett.
A disguise again!
Detecting trouble, Bennett swiftly drew his firearm, casting a suspicious gaze at Holden. “How many of your men are present?" he inquired coldly.
Holden said calmly, “Everyone, take off your masks."
In response, more than half of Bennett's men unmasked themselves, revealing their real faces.
Bennett forced a malicious smile. “Impressive work, Mr. Fredrick. I must acknowledge this. No wonder you are in charge of the Fredrick family."
Not wasting a second, Bennett began firing shots at Holden.
Luckily, Holden was agile and evaded the incoming bullets with swift movements.
Witnessing this, Adrian didn't hesitate to leap towards Bennett.
In an instant, chaos erupted. Bullets zipped through the air.
Bennett was well-trained. Even though Adrian was skilled, he couldn't subdue Bennett.
But Holden quickly joined the fight. Soon, Bennett was at a disadvantage, eventually being disarmed by Adrian.
Seizing the opportunity, Adrian pinned Bennett's arms behind him, finally subduing him.
Holden fired three shots into the sky, instantly capturing everyone's attention. He then pressed the gun against Bennett's throat, locking eyes with Bennett's men. "Drop your weapons if you don't want to see your leader die!"
Observing Bennett's precarious situation, his men exchanged uneasy glances and reluctantly dropped their weapons.
