Chapter: 658
Since the matter was finally over, the crowd dispersed at once. Ariana was a bit depressed. Although the troublemakers had finally left, her date was ruined.
She also noticed that Theodore didn't look well. Perhaps he wanted to go back.
Ariana lowered her head dejectedly and didn't say anything more.
At this time, Theodore held her hand and called her name softly, "Ariana..."
Ariana crouched down to look at Theodore.
"What's wrong?"
Before she could even register his response, she suddenly felt the warmth of a windbreaker enveloping her. Theodore had taken off his coat and put it on her.
The familiar scent of his clothes made her feel at ease.
Theodore gently ran his fingers through her hair and then traced the ring necklace hanging off her neck.
"So you are finally wearing it, huh?" he teased.
Ariana felt a sudden wave of embarrassment wash over her as her secret was uncovered. She quickly grabbed the necklace and tucked it away inside her collar.
Theodore couldn't help but chuckle at her reaction, his face breaking into a beautiful smile.
"I thought you threw it away. Why don't you just wear it on your hand?"
"Our marriage hasn't been made public yet," Ariana muttered softly, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She was glad that Theodore was unaffected by Lyla's farce and could still make jokes. She wanted to finish their date.
Theodore glanced in the direction that Lyla had left and said with a meaningful tone, "It may become public soon.”
Ariana suddenly remembered that she had forgotten to remind Lyla not to mention anything about this at work. Now she couldn't hide it anymore. Lyla was notorious for her loose tongue and always ended up getting involved in things that weren't her concern.
Feeling annoyed, Ariana glared at Theodore and scolded, "It's all your fault. You didn't remind me."
Theodore calmly raised his eyebrows and replied, "I don't care."
Ariana was at a loss for words at that. But she quickly gathered her composure and said, "Let's just make it public."
This time, Theodore finally burst into laughter, a smug look crossing his face.
