Chapter: 662
“Okay.”

At this time, Alina, who had been holding Alina's thighs the whole time, suddenly felt sleepy and yawned. Ariana picked Alina up and put her head on her shoulder.

"I'll take her back to the tent to sleep," Ariana said to Theodore.

Theodore nodded silently and watched her walk into the tent.

Night fell slowly, and the night sky was dotted with thousands of bright spots.

Sitting quietly in the wheelchair, Theodore was lost in thought. There seemed to be an impassable barrier between the bustling scene around him and himself.

The images of the past gradually appeared in Theodore's mind again.

He saw again the woman hanging before him, her face grim and pale. Her rolled up eyes were fixed on him, and a high-pitched female voice kept crying, "You killed her. You are the murderer, you are the murderer!"

Memories of the past were like an abyss that slowly engulfed Theodore. It was a burst of a child's cry that finally woke him.

Ariana poked her head out of the tent and called to Theodore for help.

"Come on, give mea hand, Alina is crying."

Theodore rolled his wheelchair over and entered the tent.

The tent was illuminated by a warm light. Ariana had prepared everything, down to the sleeping mat and bedding. With her head covered with a pillow, Alina sobbed and called for Sarah.

"She hasn't seen her mom for a long time. But Sarah's performance is not over yet.

Besides, it seems that her phone is powered off. I am unable to reach her through video call." Ariana had been coaxing Alina for a long time, and now, she was at a loss.

Theodore hesitated for a while and then reached out his hands.

“Let me have a try."

He took the little Alina in his arms and patted her back gently.

He was a little stiff at first, but he quickly became more and more gentle. Ariana was in awe. It seemed that Theodore had taken care of a child in the past.

With her eyes closed, Alina slowly stopped crying. As the last droplets of tears ran down her cheeks, she gradually fell asleep.
