Chapter: 670
After a while, a bald man came rushing in. He looked terribly anxious as he apologized to Theodore, "I'm sorry, Mr. Anderson. It's our fault. I've found the boys who pushed the both of you. Do you want to call them in?"
The bald man was in charge of the camp. He was shocked when he heard that Theodore had an accident on his grounds.
Theodore glanced at him and answered, "Sure."
The bald man soon brought in the two boys. They looked about seven or eight, and they were the ones who accidentally pushed Ariana and Theodore down the slope.
When their parents saw Theodore, they felt intimidated and didn't dare to say anything that might offend him. Instead, they repeatedly urged their children to apologize.
Theodore glanced over at Ariana, who was sitting quietly in the comer. Seeing that she had her head down, he could tell that she was absent-minded.
He clenched his fists and coughed. He didn't want to pursue the matter any further, but said a few words and dismissed them.
Horace was surprised at how lenient Theodore was. He suddenly understood why when he noticed Theodore staring at Ariana. Men in love would never waste energy on people they considered unimportant.
After some negotiation, Theodore got Horace to take Alina back to the car. Although he was satisfied with the date, he didn't want to sleep in the camp because the bedding was too hard. So they returned.
Theodore sat beside Ariana in the car, looking out the window at the scenery passing by. Suddenly, he said, "Now that I'm wooing you, and we've already gone on two dates, can we say we are in love?"
“What?” Ariana asked as she came to her senses.
Theodore turned around and gazed into Ariana's eyes.
"I'm asking if we can take our relationship to the next level," he replied earnestly.
Ariana laughed and teased, "Why do you look so cute when you are serious?"
Theodore was speechless and snorted, "Do I look ridiculous?"
“No, no. It's cute," she comforted him while rubbing her head against his arm.
Theodore smiled, lowering his head and kissing her.
"I remember there's a special occasion coming up. Can you free up your schedule for next Wednesday?” he asked gently.
Ariana wanted to refuse, but suddenly she remembered that that day was her birthday, and felt comforted. He remembered her birthday and kept it in mind.
After sending Alina back to Molly, Theodore accompanied Ariana to her apartment.
