Chapter: 1176
Bart glanced at Maggie, noticing her approving smile, and promptly addressed Rosalynn.
“Rosalynn.”
Observing the bandages around his arms and neck, Rosalynn deduced he was injured while trying to stop Yana.
Despite Maggie's parents seeming unreliable, her bond with her brother was evident.
“Bart, how are your wounds? Does it hurt?"
With concern in her eyes, Maggie turned to Bart.
“I'm fine, Maggie. Don't worry about me. I'll be alright in a few days," Bart reassured her nonchalantly.
Maggie ruffled his hair, hesitated, then asked, "How's Mom?"
She hadn't seen their mother since the incident and was unsure about her condition.
“Mom's alright. She fainted after bumping her head, which triggered her old ailment. The doctors said she could be discharged after a few days of observation,” Bart comforted her.
Feeling slightly relieved upon hearing this, Maggie asked, "Is Dad with her now?"
"Yes,"
"Then where are you planning to sleep tonight?"
Only one family member could stay in the ward, but it was impractical for Bart to return home alone.
“I won't sleep. I‘11l stay here with you," Bart declared.
“No, you're still growing. You need to get proper rest."
Maggie thought for a moment, then proposed, "I'll give you money. You can stay at a hotel near the hospital.”
Bart resisted, "No need, Maggie. Don't waste money. I'm young and can stay up all night."
“Listen to me. I'm transferring the money to you right now."
As Maggie was about to initiate the transfer on her phone, Brian interjected, “Maggie, the hotels near the hospital aren't in the best condition. I'll have Edwin arrange accommodation for your brother."
Caught off guard, Maggie quickly responded, “That's not necessary, Mr. Hughes. My brother can manage."
Without replying, Brian dialed Edwin's number
