“Aren't you returning to see Dad and Grandma?" Brian asked in a low voice.
“No. To me, my aunt is my only family." The smile vanished from Barlow's face.
Brian said, "Barlow. Regardless of your denial, you remain part of the Hughes family.”
Pausing briefly, Barlow met Brian's gaze, his smile resurfacing.
“Attempting to stir my emotions and prevent me from taking something from you? You must love Rosalyn a lot, huh?"
Brian's eyes darkened.
"Barlow, Rosalyn won't choose you."
Barlow chuckled.
"Who knows? She's undeniably alluring. It's been ages since I've pursued a woman. Farewell.”
He climbed into his car, speeding off into the distance.
As Barlow's vehicle disappeared into the traffic, Brian's eyes remained cold and emotionless.
