Chapter: 246
"By the way, Auntie, Rosalynn and we are neighbors. Weren't you planning on inviting her over to our place?"

They were neighbors!

Brian, who had been sitting silently, shot Barlow a stern Look.

“Yes, Rosalynn. Are you available tonight? How about joining us for dinner at our place?" Haleigh inquired.

Rosalynn felt a bit awkward and unsure how to respond.

At that moment, Brian interjected, “I'm sorry. Rosalynn has to work late tonight."

She had to work late? Rosalynn herself wasn't aware of it! Regardless, Brian's response provided her with a way out.

Rosalynn offered a silent smile.

“Oh? What about tomorrow night?" Barlow had a smile on his face as he played with his phone.

“She's swamped with work lately." Brian decided on Rosalynn's behalf, his refusal was quite evident.

Sensing Haleigh's gaze, Rosalynn smiled and said, "I'm sorry. Let's plan a dinner some other time."

Haleigh glanced at Barlow and waited for him to speak.

Still smiling, Barlow stood up and said, “No worries, Rosalynn. We'll have plenty of time to get along with each other.”

Rosalynn remained silent, standing up to see the two guests off.

Brian pursed his lips and habitually tapped his thigh with his slender fingers.

Did they share the same apartment building?

Was Barlow getting close to her because he intended to pursue her?

After stepping out of the elevator, Haleigh asked, "Barlow, are you trying to get revenge on the Hughes family?"

Barlow's eyes sparkled.

“Auntie, you're overthinking it."

“I'm not overthinking. Barlow, I noticed you acted quite familiar with Rosalynn. Is it because Brian is also fond of her?" Haleigh held Barlow's arm and asked.

Barlow merely chuckled, not giving a direct answer.
