Chapter: 253
Keegan had his own office redecorated because Brian wanted the office for himself.
Brian told him that he would work here every now and then.
Rosalynn couldn't quite fathom Brian's fascination with the studio.
Instead of staying in Hughes Group, he opted for this quaint space.
She shrugged off his peculiar choice, focusing on her tasks at hand.
Brian directed the original construction team to oversee the Technology
Center project, but Carson no Longer held the reins
Rosalynn went to the construction site. She discovered that the materials had been upgraded, and the workers handled their tasks with great precision.
Upon noticing her arrival, the crew greeted Rosalynn with enthusiasm.
“Please accept our apologies for the previous incident,” Wesley said “Truth be told, we also had our qualms with Carson's conduct, but it wasn't our place to interfere.”
Rosalynn offered him a warm smile.
"It's fine. I understand."
She knew that they had little choice but to follow Carson's directives.
“You're so brave to confront the high-ups," a worker chimed in with a grin.
“Absolutely, though it nearly cost us our jobs," another teased.
Luckily, Wesley managed to convince his niece to implore Eleanor for help. It seems Brian is quite smitten with her."
“Of course! Heroes and beauties; a tale as old as time!"
The workers continued their playful banter.
Rosalynn's smile faltered and she asked, “Wait, did I hear you correctly? Eleanor pleaded with Brian on your behalf, and that's why you're still employed?"
“Indeed. My niece is Eleanor's assistant. I caught wind of Brian's fondness for Eleanor online, so I reached out to my niece. To my surprise, it worked! The very next day, he instructed us to resume our duties." Wesley grinned with glee.
Rosalynn's chest tightened as the revelation sank in.
Two days ago, he had said he would listen to her and not fire the construction team. She felt a wave of absurdity wash over her.
