“Hang on for a second. I need to attend to Brian, since he came all the way to see me.”

As expected, her declaration made a buzz around the room as the other actresses began to whisper among themselves.

“He just gave her a set of jewelry. And now he's visiting her. He must be really smitten."

“You're right. He had his fair share of rumors with other celebrities before, but this is the first time he's paid attention to one woman for so long."

“Oh, so he treats her different from the rest, huh?"

"Do you think Eleanor will end up marrying him?"

“If that happens, then she'll be one damn lucky girl."

Eleanor preened at their muted discussion, and a smile of satisfaction spread on her face.

She had no idea why Brian had come over out of the blue, but the only thing that mattered was what others thought of this.

Being seen with Brian in public was doing a lot of benefit for her popularity.

Eleanor stepped out of the building and spotted Brian's chauffeur standing by a familiar car

She sauntered over, and the chauffeur nodded at her slightly before opening the door to the back seat.

Eleanor let herself in and sat next to Brian.

"Sir, to what do I owe the pleasure of your visit?"

Brian said nothing at first. His eyes darted between her neck and ears.

She wasn't wearing any jewelry.

He then took out his phone, Looked up a recent news article, and zoomed in on the photo attached to it.

“Explain to me where you got the jewelry from."

So he had come for this.

Eleanor's eyes twinkled. She laid her cards on the table without a second's hesitation.

“Oh, I asked someone to make an imitation set

It didn't even occur to her to hide it.
