Chapter: 71
As soon as they appeared, the noisy meeting room instantly fell silent.
Brian took the main seat, and Edwin announced, “First and foremost, let's congratulate Rosalynn. Her exceptional design draft secured the Technology Center's decoration project. Please, a round of applause for her.”
Everyone applauded.
Rosalynn glanced at Brian with a smile, feeling an inexplicable sense of joy.
She didn't know why she was so happy.
“However, there's a twist. Another decoration company submitted a design draft strikingly similar to Rosalynn's. Clearly, her design has been leaked. We have a traitor among us."
His revelation sent shockwaves through the room, prompting whispers.
Brian surveyed the attendees and occasionally tapped the table with his slender fingers.
"Whoever leaked it should come forward, admit it, and explain themselves."
Brian's deep, authoritative voice silenced everyone.
Giselle's heart raced.
She stared at Maggie and wondered what she did in this matter.
To protect herself, Giselle had no choice but to put the blame on Maggie.
"Rosalynn, the only person with access to your final design draft for the project must be someone close to you."
As Giselle finished speaking, everyone's gaze fell upon Maggie.
Everyone in the company knew that Rosalynn had appointed Maggie as her assistant for the project.
"Maggie, was it you? Rosalynn has been so kind to you. How could you steal her design draft?" Mary said scornfully.
“| heard her boyfriend plans to start a business. She's been working multiple jobs to support him financially. She must've stolen Rosalynn's design to sell it."
"Her lack of morals is too obvious. She must face severe consequences."
Maggie's face flushed as she absorbed the accusations.
She stood up and confronted Giselle. "Yes, | leaked the design draft, but it was Giselle who instructed me to do so.”
Giselle had anticipated Maggie's claim. She scoffed, "Don't fabricate stories, Maggie Shear!
Do you have any proof? You've overstepped your bounds. Now that you've been caught, you want to drag me down with you, right?"
"No. You're jealous of Rosalynn and fear she'll snatch your position as director, so you promised me incentives. You asked me to steal the design draft in hopes Mr. Hughes would lose faith in Rosalyn.”
“Maggie, quit spouting nonsense!" Giselle glared at her.
