Chapter: 72
“I'm not spouting nonsense. Everyone will know the truth after hearing this."
Maggie activated her phone and played a recording.
“Giselle, I've done as you requested. Here's the final design draft."
“Good job. Take this card. It contains one hundred thousand. I'll arrange for you to become a permanent employee once this is over."
The recording captured the conversation between Giselle and Maggie.
Giselle's eyes widened, and her face paled.
"Maggie, how could you record that? It wasn't like that. You approached me first. You claimed you were short on money...”
“Even though I'm short on money, | couldn't commit such a vile act."
“You're setting me up! It's you who..."
“Enough!” Rosalynn interjected. "Giselle, there's no need to argue further. We aren't fools.”
Giselle's chest heaved rapidly, and her fists tightened.
Rosalynn took out a card and slid it toward Brian. "Maggie informed me of the entire situation last night. Giselle was the one who incited her to steal my design draft. This is the card Giselle gave her."
The previous night, Rosalyn had received a message from Maggie upon returning home.
To her surprise, Giselle had convinced Maggie to steal her design draft for her own selfish desires.
Fortunately, Maggie hadn't been swayed by the bribe.
Naturally, Rosalynn’s final design draft wasn't stored on the company's computer.
She had anticipated that something like this could happen.
Even if Maggie had not told her about this, Rosalynn could still have handled the situation effortlessly today.
"Giselle, you've committed commercial espionage by sharing the company's confidential design without permission."
Brian's tone was even, but it caused Giselle to sweat.
If Brian treated it as corporate espionage, she would face imprisonment.
“Considering your years of service, | will merely terminate your employment and issue a formal reprimand within the industry," Brian added.
This meant that Giselle would be blacklisted in the field of construction design.
It was not better than being in prison.
No company would want an immoral designer.
