He glanced at her briefly, took the bag, and eyed the underwear inside.

Then, without a second thought, he tossed the bag into the trash can.

Rosalynn and Karina were both taken aback

Karina was the first to speak.

“What do you mean, Barlow? Why did you throw it away?"

Barlow shot her a mischievous smile.

“I've grown tired of you, Karina.

I don't want you to fall in love with me, so I'm putting an end to the farce right now. You're too easy to pick up. I've lost interest in you. You're boring.”

Karina's expression changed.

So he had been playing with her this whole time.

And now that he knew that she was falling for him, he was cutting her off.

He had even insulted her to her face!

How dare he treat her Like a foolish plaything?

Karina slapped him hard across the face.

Then she turned and rushed out of the ward without another word.

"Karina!" Rosalynn called after her, to no avail. She whirled around to glare at Barlow.

“How can you be so shameless?"

“I'm doing this to keep her away from me," he replied in a light tone.

"You should be thanking me."

Rosalynn didn't know what to say. She was itching to slap him herself.
