He didn't even recognize her.
To him, she was nothing more than an employee, a subordinate.
Rosalynn composed herself and went out.
She was on her way to her desk when she bumped into Eleanor in the hallway.
Eleanor fell back half a step from the impact and dropped her purse.
“What the hell are you doing?” Eleanor snapped as she looked at her things now scattered ‘on the floor.
"I'm sorry."
Rosalynn apologized and was already bending down to pick up her stuff.
It was then that she caught sight of a familiar jade pendant. She reached for it, her eyes widening in surprise.
The jade pendant was hers!
Why was it in Eleanor's purse?
"Give that back."
Eleanor took one look at Rosalynn's dazed expression and immediately held out her hand.
Rosalynn reacted by instinct, dodging Eleanor's hand.
"You mean this?”
"Of course. Return it tome."
"But it's mine.”
Eleanor's jaw fell open.
So the jade pendant belonged to Rosalynn?
She was the woman whom Brian had spent the night with?
Eleanor's expression turned ugly. She glanced down at Rosalynn's name tag. “So, you're an assistant designer here?"
"That's right."
Rosalyn put the pendant in her pocket and continued to collect the rest of Eleanor's things. She then gave the purse back to its owner and made to leave.
"Stop!" Eleanor cried out. "I'm warning you, don't get carried away. You should know what kind of man Mr. Hughes is. He changes women like he changes his clothes."
Rosalynn smirked to herself. Was Eleanor seriously warning her to stay away from Brian?
