Chapter: 1027
She took out her red cellphone which was the same as Maria's and unlocked it using her fingerprint. When she saw all the apps that scientist Sophie had been using, she frowned.
She finally found Twitter on the back and Logged onto it.
“Oh, what's this?" Sophie wondered. Someone had been stirring trouble. Sophie was a follower of the Female Military Counsellor crew on Twitter. So she now saw two relevant posts on her page.
The first one was that Maria refused to shoot the scenes herself and insisted on using a stunt double.
The second post was about Jessie, a work model from the film and television industry.
She was not afraid to perform stunts and did them herself.
The news that Sophie saw included a video that was taken at the filming site of the Female Military Counsellor.
Obviously, someone from the shooting site had secretly taken this video and uploaded it online.
The video was not long, but the content was simple and easy to understand.
The video started when the crew was about to film a fighting scene. At first, one of the supporting actresses, Jessie, offered to do her scenes by herself and without the help of a stunt double.
After getting the permission of the director, Jessie then suggested that Maria do the same for better results.
However, Maria refused.
As expected, the content of the video sparked passionate debates online, and its popularity quickly surpassed the previous issue about Maria attending the table reading without a script.
“Jessie is a really great actress. Her professionalism is something else!"
"Indeed. There aren't many dedicated actresses like her. It makes you wonder why she's playing the supporting role. Are directors and producers blind? Such an amazing actress deserves more chances to shine."
“Oh, I'm going to watch this movie once it's out. I must support Jessie. I'm rooting for you, Jessie!"
Needless to say, there were also comments that were intended to criticize Maria.
“Who the hell is Maria, anyway? We barely know her, so why is she playing the heroine role and not Jessie?"
“Oh, come on. What's so hard about those scenes? She just needs to say her lines while the cables keep her in midair. You know what? I don't think this movie is for her. She should've just starred in a chick flick movie or something."
"I can already tell that this movie will receive a lot of negative reviews. People will definitely question the production crew's choice of actress for the heroine role. I, for one, think that such a role doesn't suit Maria."
Sophie sneered as she read the comments with lots of Likes.
“How dare these people talk shit about my cash cow?"
Sophie might not be a great scientist, but she was also a professional agent.
She did not come to Sheffield just for Maria to be trampled on Like this.
